Once your application has been processed and you have Tikanga Trade and Nu Tireni account numbers you're all ready to start ! You will have been emailed Deposit forms that you can process manually or online.
A 200.00 NTM overdraft for a personal user and 500.00 NTM overdraft for each business has you ready to trade with freedom and self responsibility.
Trades can be done in NTM, part NTM/$NZD or $NZD.
You will be able to view the business listings and the member details in the 4 rohe/regions of Nu Tireni listed in the menu under The Business and Member Directories.
You will also be able to view them on our Telegram groups where you can list items for sale.
You can view business websites or visit their premises and arrange a purchase with them.
If the trade is done in NTM, Nu Tireni Moni, the seller can process the sale on the NTM Deposit Form tab listed in the menu or via email at tikanga.trade@mailbox.org.
If the trade is processed in NTM through the Deposit Form tab, a receipt is automatically emailed to the seller. It is the seller's responsibility to forward this to the buyer.
All receipts at the point of sale whether processed via the Deposit Form tab or generated manually are to be provided by the seller for the purchaser.
We recommend paper receipts be provided at the point of sale in case of any malfunctioning in the online form process.
The Tikanga Trade system is as efficient as possible with our limited resources but we want to encourage a culture of self responsibility where everyone is active in enabling a trustworthy system.
Once a deposit form/receipt has been received Bank of Nu Tireni will process it and the updated balance will be recorded in the secure data base and emailed to the seller and buyer.
We emphasize that it is the responsibility of the seller and buyer to keep a copy of all transactions and check that the balances that you receive from Bank of Nu Tireni are correct.
Reviews of both the seller and buyer can be made on each members Tikanga Trade Telegram listing once a trade has been completed.
We recommend you read member reviews before you trade if possible so as to ensure that Te Ture Tikanga protocol functions as best practice.
If you have any issues with another member and cannot resolve it you are supported regarding dispute resolution through your Rohe/region, minenga or Te Kooti Wakanga, Court of Justice https://govt.maori.nz
All the best with your trading.
We welcome any comments and feedback
Thank you for being part of the change for good!
